I was awarded top honors that night for Educational Scholarship and was given the highest payout of $5,000.00 for my school accomplishments. I had to have a high GPA near 4.0 for last 3 quarters, I had to write a essay on how my education has impacted my life and will ultimately effect my future. I received a very nice letter of recommendation from the Dean of Academics and of my Department in Graphic Design. I had to submit some of my work for display if chosen. I was in shock as we went to the Gala not knowing if I actually got a scholarship or what amount it would be. I was in more shock as they read my name for the highest winner... in tern I was able to finish my schooling loans, got a laptop, ipod, and a larger screen for my computer with the money awarded. We thought there was going to be a dinner - but it was a silent auction and we left early and celebrated with BURGER KING with my sweet wife Linda. What a night.
